Its a shame that a lot of the hand drawings are too small for anyone to see whats inside of them.

Yeah, although if you get a hold of the actual magazine maybe you could see them better.

LA Zoo Chatters do any of you have any word on when Rainforest of the Americas is going to open ?We're trying to plan our vacation.We're hoping for April or May.Any new info would be appreciated.

Still no word. I last saw it in late November and it was still under heavy construction. They were starting to landscape it and the aviaries had netting, but it looked like there was still a lot of work to do before animals were put into it.

There is still no date set (according to zoo site), but on a recent visit it looked as most of the foliage had been planted and most of the major construction was focused on the entrance to the exhibit. My guess is that you guys will be okay with visiting in April/May.

This comes a bit late and I've been away longer than I had planned; thanks for the concern from several of my fellow ZooChat friends I received. The November 19 Commission Minutes, along with other notes of interest, place the Rainforest project at 92% complete. So we're getting closer!
