Guess the zoo

No it wasn't Frankfurt but because of the difficulty I give you the clue that this zoo IS in Germany.

And we have a winner ! Congrat. sooty mangabey ! It was Tierpark Gettorf.
When I left Vogelpark Walsrode to start to work at Tierpark Gettorf ( 1989 ), the Birdpark donated me a Black-crowned palm-tanager which was surplus and not able to breed because in an accident it had lost one of his ( or her ) legs. It did fine with one leg but because I hadn't room for it at home, I put it on display at the Tierpark where it lived for another 3 years.
So sooty mangabey, now it's your turn.

Okay.... Here goes:
*Between 1973 and 1977 it held a particularly rare primate, highly unlikely to be seen in a zoo again.
*It was once managed by a German hairdresser who brought with him a group of monkeys.
*It owes its genesis, to a large extent, to the presence of a shop renting out household appliances.

(Bonus points if anyone can name the primates!)

Banham Zoo.

Rare primate was red colobus.

German hairdresser brought a group of woolly monkeys with him.

Red Colobus. Was it one or several and how were they acquired-was it by the same person( I can't quite remember his name, was it Dornbrack?) who brought the Woollies?

Next question:-

I am only aware of one individual of the following unusual hybrid

• spectacled bear X Asiatic black bear

At what zoo and in what year was this extremely rare hybrid born?
