Noah's Ark Zoo Farm Elephant evacuated after fire

"An elephant had to be evacuated from its home at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm after a fire broke out.

The fire took hold at 5pm on Monday evening in an adjacent shed containing two propane gas cylinders.

Firefighters put out the blaze and cooled the cylinders before allowing the animal to return."

Some of you may have heard we had a small fire here yesterday - it was just a small builders shed in a private area of the farm which was quickly extinguished with no one hurt.

The Bristol Post ran a short story today which over-dramatised the event (!) The shed in question was a safe distance from Buta our elephant, who was outside in the sun enjoying her grass field and not bothered by it

We are of course fully open as usual.

That's right, Hex. I am sure that neither Knowsley or Noah's have considered this and are probably deliberately delaying the transfer of the bull just to prolong her torture...
