As mentioned the Peruvian Pelicans will be in a large outdoor aviary. I've only ever seen the American White Pelican and the Brown Pelicans indoors, though.
The zoo's North Sulawesi Babirusas are only on display on the Wild Asia Monorail and the Malayan Tapirs only in JungleWorld. The old babirusa enclosure is being turned into an outdoor Komodo Dragon enclosure and the old tapir one being renovated for 1.1 Aldabra Giant Tortoises. The zoo's 2.0 Southern White Rhinos can be seen both indoors and outdoors.

Thank you again for your Help, Thylo. So the Tapirs and Babirusas had to move out of the Elephant house for the new reptile exhibits.
Have you any idea what the future plans are for the White Rhinos ?
Has the zoo ever announced "Island Giants"? I've not seen anything on the internet, is there a sign or banner at the zoo?

How much of the building is it going to occupy?
The entire left (when entering from Astor Court) public side. So more or less the same amount of space the rhinos take up on the other side I'd imagine.

Actually the right side when entering from Astor Court. And the smaller terrariums are located in space that used to be the public gallery.
Oops! You got me there.
What do you mean the public gallery? You mean Amazing Amphibians? That's been removed and the area behind it will be for the smaller terrariums and the indoor Komodo Dragon, save for one terrarium between the enter and exit doors for the exhibit.

So the Bairuas moved from the Zoocenter to wild Asia and the Malayan tapir fromt he Zoocenter to Jungle World ? So how many Malayan tapirs the Zoo keeps now at Jungleworld ?As mentioned the Peruvian Pelicans will be in a large outdoor aviary. Nice review! 2 things:Well I visited for the run today and obvious stayed afterwards. I arrived late so the zoo opened when I was about halfway through it. This being so, I decided to just get underway with my visit. I started out by Bears! where all the Brown Bears were active and playful. Tundra was sleeping on a rock. Nothing new there or with Baboon Reserve. I did notice at this point that it's Indian Peafowl mating season so the zoo was very noisy and there were many, many peacocks displaying for the peahens, most of which appeared uninterestedIn African Plains, I realized for the first time today how many Thompson's Gazelles the zoo has. There's also a male Lowland Nyala and 0.2 Ostriches on-exhibit with them. The gazelle enclosure across from the Lions was empty and there was a area fenced in with what seemed to be construction equipment behind it. It appears the zoo had four Lion cubs without telling anyone as there were four juveniles playing around the enclosure with the female. The female Lowland Nyalas were not out and that enclosure was empty apart from peafowl. In the Carter Giraffe Building, a bluelight was added in the Aardvark den so guests can see them better. In JungleWorld, it seems the zoo is down to 1.1 Javan Langurs and Oriental Pied Hornbills and Bornean River Turtles have been added to the final room. There seemed to be a Greater Malay Chevrotain fawn, too. I also noticed what looked like a black and white Corvid in the final room but will have to have the photos IDed. I finally saw the Black-Breasted Leaf Turtle on a personal note. My ride today on the Wild Asia Monorail was by far my best thus far. First off, there seem to be quite a few cars being used instead of just like two. Also, I've generally found the announcers to be hard to hear if you're farther back and they don't do a good job of announcing species and such but today I could hear quite well all the way back and they did an excellent job pointing out species. And we even stopped in front of a few enclosures! I noticed a Blackbuck fawn as well. The highlight of that was when we passed the wild horse enclosure and the horses were stampeding around. It was quite a sight and I should have some good pictures of that and other monorail species coming soon. In Congo Gorilla Forest there were, of course, the baby gorillas (whose spectators literally stopped the traffic flow in one of the halls dead). Some new signage has been put up in some of the enclosures. It seems the Eastern Black-and-White Colobuses have been replaced by Angolan Colobuses, and they already have a baby! While I didn't see them, the new signage suggests that the Red River Hogs, Mandrills, and old colobuses will be alternated within that enclosure. The out of place Pygmy Marmoset enclosure is still closed for renovations. No real changes in there otherwise, though they've added more to the lungfish enclosure. I like it even less now as the fish really can't move around much anymore. In the Pheasant Aviaries a Montezuma Oropendola has been added in. In the Mouse House we now have one or two Damaraland Mole Rat babies and quite a few California House pups. "African dormice" (Graphiurus murinus?) are on-show now. I visited Butterfly Gardens for the first time today and it's an interesting exhibit. It's mostly a wild garden but then there's a greenhouse with multiple butterfly species and two or three bird species inside along with Koi. There's a window that leads to an off-show room where you can see all the cocoons. I even saw one butterfly finish breaking out. There are keepers placed at each doorway to ensure no one tries stealing any butterflies. In World of Reptiles, there's a Radiated Tortoise, Red-Tailed Ratsnake, Spotted Turtle, and Four-Eyed Turtle in the nursery. An unknown species of rainbowfish has been added to the Fly River Turtle tank. I think I mentioned this in my last report but just in case there are now two False Gharials in together. The last two enclosures, which have been being renovated for some time now, are now fully boarded up. The roof is also being worked on. In Himalayan Highlands the Snow Leopard enclosure is being renovated and the White-Naped Crane is nesting it seems. Nothing new with Northern Ponds and the pelicans from the Aquatic Bird House were still in the house and not in the ponds. Construction of both Island Giants and the new Children's Zoo both seem well underway. I could see the frames for the new barns in the domestic area of the Children's Zoo. Madagascar! has Pinstripe Menarambo in with the Nile Crocodiles again. The Aquatic Bird House hasn't changed much since my last visit, though it seems there are Yellow-Headed Blackbirds in just about every enclosure. I noticed today that the zoo has Grey-Necked Wood Rails and Giant Wood Rails in the house. It appears two of the American Flamingos are nesting, too. And I actually saw the kiwi! There was a group in there who were getting upset that they couldn't see it and as they were leaving one guy shouted, "There it is!" He then laughed as he was joking and left. Seconds later the kiwi started running around
The Lesser Adjutant Storks were nowhere to be found. In the Sea Bird Aviary, we obviously have the four new Peruvian Pelicans which bring some size and life into the aviary for sure. What I believe was a Black-Faced Ibis was out there as well. I had to leave the zoo after that unfortunately so missed seeing World of Birds. I really enjoyed myself overall, though. Photos coming soon!
