Got some nice pics of it too. I asked a keeper if it ever came out and she said not usually during day but sometimes when its being fed.... Then she volunteered to go and entice it out for us so as not to be rude we said yes please :)

It does doesn't it....?! Any collection plans in the pipeline?x

Lets just say my plans are evolving all the time and I have a few possible tricks up my sleeve to pull ahead!!!
 
We don't have anything planned really now until summer until we visit paignton and possibly living coasts. Could be an interesting competition

If we're talking about the Bengal Slow Loris, i've never had any trouble until Good Friday, but the zoo has always been dead when i've been previously on working weekdays.

It is a list of yearticks from those zoos, therefore omitting species I have seen already this year. That said, no other langur species are held by the collections at this point in time.
 
After visits to Tropiquaria, Exmoor and Bristol this weekend i think i need some clarification on a few. Tropiquaria i can add Red fronted brown Lemur and White fronted brown lemur (are the seperate species?) and Black Lemur. Exmoor it said Eastern Black and White Colobus on the cage, but Zootierliste, doesn't think there are any in Europe

The white-fronted and red-fronted lemurs are indeed separate species.

Exmoor holds Mt Kenya Colobus (Colobus guereza kikuyuensis), which is indeed sometimes called Eastern Black and White Colobus - your confusion arose due to the fact ZTL also gives that name to C.g.guereza, the Omo River Colobus, which is indeed absent from European collections.

@ Johnny Morris accorrding to ztl and Shaldon they have a Bengal Loris,but having seen the said animal a few years ago shortly after the first true Bengal arrived at RSCC,I still say its a Slow Loris and not as is now claimed a Bengal Loris!

The word 'orangutan' always leaps off the page at me which is why I've noticed this. I hate to say it, but there are no Sumatran orangs at Colchester. You saw a Bornean (Tiga) and a hybrid (Rajang) - I don't know if he counts in this challenge!

1. So the Swamp Monkeys are still there, how did you manage to see them?

2. No De Brazza's on show at Porfells?- they rescued a pair a year or two back, probably from Bristol.
 
De Brazzas are on show at Porfell. Swamp monkeys are viewable through the hospital window if they are in the right place, however we were told that they are due to leave for the states.
