Yeah why are they all males or something. If they are the other two must be youngsters or very skinny

A pregnant kangaroo looks pretty much identical to one which is not ;) though as female kangaroos tend to be pregnant every day when they reach sexual maturity other than the day they give birth, this is hard to gauge :p

Last time I went around December I'm sure they had squirrel monkeys in the enclosure next to the sloths

If they did have them then I visited in January and never saw sight nor sign of them, not saying that they haven't got them, but I would be very surprised that they haven't jumped up and down, and said look at our new arrivals that we have never kept before, like they did with the first press release about the Bush Dogs!!!

had a look inside butterflys today

looks quite good to say its done on a budget, the old panning water run is now a center peice water feature, the paths are the old ones from the kids rides

Anyone have a current species list for Twycross please as thinking about visiting shortly and looking by this thread their have been one or two changes of late.

Try their website (animals tab) which I think lists everything and, from a quick view, seems pretty accurate. :)

Twycross Zoo have announced their 50 year celebration plans which will take place in Spring Week, 51 years after the zoo first opened.Monday 26th May, Live Music. Tuesday 27th Area 51 co, performance artist. Wednesday 28th, Adventures in time and space, including Daleks.Thursday 29th, Classic Car Day, Friday 30th, Bert and Gents Vintage Markets. What, may I ask do any of these events have relating to zoology, animals or indeed Twycross Zoo itself?

I agree with Animal Friendly what has it all got to do with Zoo's, you forgot to put the Darliks were going to be there, it was 50 years last year to the Day and the Date but they weren't bothered with it, so now they are going to celebrate it this year, instead of leaving a statement last year saying they had a lot to sort out this year so unfortunately the 50th anniversary would have to be celebrated next year why could they not just tell the truth
????

It seems to be a growing trend that zoo marketing people will publicise anything except animals.

As for celebrating the 51st anniversary, it is certainly unique.

I think the appropriate expression is "bu***r all".

Pathetic.
