Looks more like a general veg or pasta strainer rather than a pure pasta strainer, don't you agree? We call them a strainer over here in the UK. Ours is pale blue. However I tend to not us it much these days in favour of a sieve. Each to their own I suppose for food drainage.
interestingly enough I can't find anything on legitimate online news sources about this NZ one, only humour sites. We call then sieves. At least in New England. Or more accurately, my part of N.E. And you can put just about anything through them. Pasta, vegetables, broths, whatever. Strainers go in the sink. Over the drain.
you could use that point to pick up girls....16 but still good point!!

Okay, am I the only one who's tried finding the old Guess the Species threads to try and relive old memories? (The one coming to mind most often is, of course, the albino ostrich chick, which we'll never let "the all-seeing Chli" live down.)
I've "tried" searching for them, but because the search isn't all that specific, I'm left to sort through a list of every thread that contains the word "guess" and "species" anywhere in it, and there're quite a lot! (Or maybe I'm just impatient and lazy.) Searches through my subscribed threads are the same. I have posted on/am subscribed to over 600 threads, and again, I'm impatient so those searches don't last long... although I have gone through most of the list once, but never found it.
Have they been deleted?

Alternatively just go to the Photography forum and the last Guess The Species thread is on the first page....
