Seems like a lot of money to waste for 4 such different species over 8 years. At least Toronto took their Amur Tiger exhibit and remodeled it, which was needed and planned anyway, and just added a few things with pandas in mind. When they leave in 2018 it will be pretty much in move in condition for the tigers return. That makes sense. Elephants to rhinos makes sense. But then to pandas who have totally different requirements is funny. They could just send Toronto their tigers for the time being and use their space. A panda for tiger swap. Toronto will be in the market for breeding Amurs by then. Then swapping to orangs would be costly remodel. Sounds like a lot of money down the drain.
