New Game Idea

Since TLD and Thylo broke the guess the species thread I have an idea of a new game (actually I didn't think of the idea myself and I got it from the "Guess The Animal at the CMZ") someone posts clues about an animal and we have to guess what it is. This game might not work or it may already have been tried but we need a new game since guess the species broke ;).

It is not exactly what you are offering but maybe you should start new round there. Though I think this game is more for live chat.
 
I will post the first clue for people to try to guess.
1) Critically Endangered reptile that was on a 2009 ecuadorian stamp

I think this shouldn't be too hard because there can only be so many critically endangered Ecuadorian reptiles but if no one has guessed it by the time I log on next I will add another clue.
(Or it is possible that everyone will ignore this stupid game) :D

It is not stupid game. I have offered a game two years ago that people had to guess the species by it's voice record. It was funny but it was only once.

Is it a snake of some sort?
 
No it is not a snake or a Galapagos giant tortoise but vogelcommando has the right place

Yes that is the answer- conolophus marthae, the galapagos pink land iguana

so according to the rules that I am making up it is your turn to post clues about a certain animal. It might be a good idea to post clues about a couple of different animals because that way if one clue is particulary cryptic then there are other animals to try and guess until the giver of said clue comes back on to make it easier.
but do want you want. ;)

I have decided that if the person due to post the question doesn't do so in 24 hours of he/she being announced as winner anyone can post.

Never mind, here comes mine animal :
It is found only on 1 small island, has never been kept in Europe nor has it been captive bred anywhere. A larger relative ( almost a look-a-like ! ) was first bred at the Bronx Zoo and later also at Rotterdam and Gettorf ( among others ).
Which animal am I looking for ?

Technically many patches of forests around the world, including the Congo and Virunga can be considered 'islands', so is it Mountain Gorilla?:)
 
Weren't mountain gorillas kept for a very short time in London zoo and Cologne zoo before they died?
 
@ nanoboy : in this case I mean by island a piece of land surrounded by a lot of water ;),
so no it's not the mountain gorilla :(.
@ LaughingDove : Work is something which takes in a lot of your spare-time but you get a little financial reward so that why I ( have to ) do it :) !
And you are right, at least the Cologne Zoo had some in the 1960-ties(?)/1970-ties. In the movie about Dianne Fossey ( Gorrilas in the Mist ) you can see how she tries to save at least one of the animals from the dealer - without succes...
