The Walking Dead

Well when I said all about Beth, I mean it seems as though it's going to show Beth wherever she's at and simply show her for the entirety of the episode. That's what it the trailer suggested anyhow.

That's a good point, not sure. Maybe they weren't sure if the group was still there or heard the gunshots from earlier and Daryl was scouting.

It's just a few hours away now! You watch 'Talking Dead' too right?

Interesting spoilers just dropped

5x08's (Last episode of 2014) title has been revealed to be "Coda". As in the last line of a piece of music. Emily Kinney (Beth) hasn't filmed since this episode so this is likely her death episode. And what is the classical symbol for Coda? The same symbol by Morgan's head on the tree a few episodes back. A circle with a cross through it.

Oh nice. I find Beth to be annoying anyway... :D

So there are three separate groups to follow now: the church folks, the group on the way to Washington, and Beth in the hospital.

I haven't read the comics so I have no idea where it's going - no spoilers please! :)

This wasn't in the comics (which excites me!):D

And even if it wasn't I stopped reading at around this part so I wouldn't spoil the show for myself so from this point on I couldn't give spoilers if I wanted to!:D

I know you guys don't watch Talking Dead, so you didn't see the guy who plays the soldier being interviewed.

They asked him why he killed the men in the supermarket and he said that storyline was straight out of the comics. That was the group he and his family were rolling with, and once when he returned from a supply run, he found that they had raped his wife and daughter while his son was made to watch. These men were his friends and neighbours before the apocalypse. So anyway, naturally, he killed them all.

In a twist of fate, it was the first time his family saw him being a soldier, rather than soccer dad who takes out the trash. They were terrified, and his wife left because she said that he was no better than the rapists. Of course, his entire family ended up getting eaten when they were on their own. I kind of felt sorry for the soldier.

The fake scientist was also interviewed. He said that his character saw the soldier about to kill himself in front of his dead family, and quickly realised what lie would work with him.

Yes I remember reading all of that, quite pathos hitting stuff.

Eugene really pisses me off, he could have handled everything a lot differently and still ended up with the same result probably. I'm very excited to see how things continue from here.

yeah that is exactly how it goes down in the GN, Gimple (current showrunner as of the start of S4) likes to stay a closer course to the comic.

Yes, I really need to get a handle on the names of the characters. I can only remember the names of Rick and Michone.

Rick, Carl, Michonne, Carol, Daryl, Beth, Maggie, Glenn, Father Gabriel, Tyreese, Shasha, Judith, Abraham, Eugene, Tara, Rosita, and then there's Noah (the guy who escaped from where Beth is).

Where to now? What's their purpose? Just more surviving? No antagonists? And what's the deal with the black guy who keeps following the markings on the trees? So many questions....

No idea. They may decide to head to just head to D.C. just in case there is something there as in the comics. Though being as that's how the last comic I read ends I have no other suggestions for you.

That guy is Morgan. You know, the dude from the first episode and then he was seen again in season 3.
