Hello from North Wales

Hi
I'm Caroline and live in North Wales and along with my husband and son we are members of Chester Zoo which we regularly visit. At one point this year I was taking my children there once a week. My 4 year old son knows his way round it without the use of a map, it is more like a second home to him and whwnever asked what he wants to do at the weekend it is always go to the zoo.
I have 2 children aged 4 and 17months so visiting zoos is an idea day out.
Next year we are visiting New Zealand and Romania, so any zoo tips would be great, obviously we will be visiting Auckland Zoo and we had hoped to go to Zion Park, (but not so sure now). We are only going to the north island.
Hope this is an ok intro

Hello Caroline and welcome from another Welsh member . I am sure you will enjoy Zoochat .

I lived on the Wirral for a few years back when I had a young family and was a very regular visitor to Chester Zoo . My oldest son had his first visit when only a few weeks old - I am sure he remembers it well !

Welcome Caroline, great to hear your experiences with your children. My Nephew Ben turned 3 last October. We regally visit Melbourne zoo. He loves it.

Although at times more interested in the other children’s behaviour than the animals. Something l find very interesting. Do we loose that curiosity and familiarity about other people?


Visiting New Zealand and Romania that’s an interesting itinerary.
