What circus animals can you think of?

I am extremely anti-circus but am writing a short story about a circus. What animals are usually "circus" animals?-
I can think of-
Elephants, lions, ponies, bears, tigers, sea lions, snakes
Are there any circus animals I am missing?
 
The only time I ever visited a circus - when I was about 7 - one act featured an Asiatic Buffalo that jumped over 3 sitting dromedaries!!
 
Giraffes are doing well in circusses, hippos, pygmy hippos,white rhinos, all big cats, I miss the roller skating polar bears, unfortunately they are gone in western circusses. But I never saw gorillas in a circus. In the 19.century some Us-Circusses even had indian and sumatran rhinos.
 
Budgerigars, crocodiles, Possibly cayman in reality, and Poodles -pushing a pram with other dogs as babies-. A lot of the animals didn't actually do tricks but were part of the back scene tours and maybe had a walk on part at the end, once around the ring say.

Roller Skating Polar Bears........Its.....Its Just Byoutiful.
 
lions (including white), tigers (including white, golden tabby and snow), leopards (including black), brown bear, black bear, polar bear, sun bear, sloth bear, african and asian elephants, reticulated python, burmese python, boa constrictor, carpet python, cobra (many species) capuchin monkey, gorilla, chimpanzee, squirrel monkey, macaws, amazons, african greys, other parrots, sea lions, vervets, macaques, mandrill, alligator, llama, horse, pony, donkey, dog (lots of domestic breeds)

Many european circusses had that phantastic act, most with brown bears, but some also with polar bears. I don' know, if any circus still have polar bears, but I'm afraid, they didn't.:(

Krone has a great driving zoo, with many species just for display-I belive, tehy have the biggest circus collection in europe.In former times, they even published a guidebook for the zoo!:)
 
There have been travelling circuses with bottlenose dolphins and belugas, though such acts seem to be rare these days. There are at least a few going around in Asia and Russia. (not-so-fun fact: there was even an orca that was kept in a travelling circus, years ago)
 
What circus....

I've seen Highland Cattle years ago, also a Hippo, Crocodiles and Giraffes.

In europe,the Us-Animal Dealer Jams Tiebor had also a travelling dolphin show-the"Florida Dolphin Show". He had also a young female Orca on display in 1971 on the Octoberfest in Munich. She live dunder extreem cruel condtions in a pool nearly twice in size of a bathtube. She lived only a few wweks and was the first orca on display in germany.Most of his dolphins passed away after a few weeks or months.It seems, they aren't good animals for travelling shows.:(

That is incredibly sad. Poor orca... The travelling circus orca I was talking about didn't seem to live very long either, though there's very little information on him. Dolphins are pretty difficult candidates for captivity in general; usually only higher quality facilities can keep them well long-term, so it's no surprise that they do poorly in travelling acts.
