New Zoo Visits for 2015?

I saw a thread similar to this on the Europe sub-forums and thought it might be fun to have one on the US side, but anyone can join in.

So. Is anyone planning to visit a zoo they've never been to before in 2015? What are you most looking forward to seeing / experiencing there?

For me, I'm hoping to finally make it to Bearizona, maybe for my birthday in April. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of bears and with no bars or anything but a vehicle between us. I always have a difficult time photographing bears. This will also be my first drive-through type zoo.

Also, in the fall I am hoping to visit some zoos in Northern California, but it will depend on where a horse event is being held that I want to attend. Either way, it will involve a visit to at least one zoo I've never been to.

I'm going to hawaii the beginning of March, and plan to visit the Honolulu zoo before i leave.

I'm going to St Louis and Kansas City to see family and visit both zoos in May

Silly story, but kind of funny... I used to be friends with someone on Flickr (photo-sharing in case you don't know) whose "home zoo" was St Louis. He said there is a "zoo cube" near the entrance and posted a photo of it. All it is is a tall square structure that says ZOO, but it's sideways so I said it looks like it says "NOO" and I that I needed to visit the zoo just so I could stand there and yell "noo" Silly, yes, but... hahahaha.

It's nice you'll get in a zoo visit during a trip to see family. My dad's sister lives in Colorado and I told my mom I'd drop her off with them and I'll go to Denver and Cheyenne Mountain. She said she'd rather go with me to the zoo. hahaha.

I hope to visit Disney Animal Kingdom, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park, Naples Zoo, Miami MetroZoo, St Augustine Alligator Farm, Point Defiance, Woodland Park, Northwest Trek, and Oregon Zoo (although I visited in 2009).

I hope to visit Virginia Zoo tomorrow, but I have been there a couple times. As for new zoos, I hope to get out to the Bronx Zoo. I would also like to do the North Carolina Zoo and Greensboro Science Center in the spring.

I would squeeze in The Living Desert if at all possible. If it was up to me I would take it even over Los Angeles Zoo.

i know i will go to others to this year but them i have been to a few times but not in a long time

I plan on visiting DAK and the Jacksonville Zoo at the end of my husband's conference in Orlando in March. Then in April when I visit my daughter and see my new grandson I hope to get to Cincinnati and Columbus. I always have to add a zoo to an existing trip. Of course I can't wait to see bonobos!

Each year, I usually try to get to either a brand-new zoo or one that I haven't been to in a very long time. I really don't know which new zoo I'll get to this year (if any).

The only zoos I have confirmed so far this year are Milwaukee County (home zoo and since I volunteer there) and Henry Vilas for the sixth time in my life (mainly due to the opening of Arctic Passage, along with the arrival of Somali wild asses).

Here are some New Collections I hope to go to

Virginia Aquarium
Virginia Zoo at Norfolk
Ripleys Aquarium Myrtle Beach
Maryland Zoo at Baltimore
Bronx Zoo (Not exactly new, but I only went there once when I was younger, all I remember is the bear exhibit, a Gelada, an Aquarium in Congo Gorilla Forest, and a Malayan Tapir)

I'm very close to deciding to visit Zoo Granby, this would also mark my first visit to a zoo outside of the U.S.A. However this is not likely to happen until August, if it happens at all. I might end up in Montreal instead, knowing my traveling partners they might drag me into a non living museum instead.

What is definitely forthcoming is a trip to the Franklin Park Zoo, I have even gone so far as to look up how to get there on the T. I have wanted to go there ever since Little Joe the Gorilla escaped and was found sitting in a bus station when I was a teenager, but it has been put off and put off until now. As soon as it hits 60 degrees F and I have a free day I'm going.

im planning a trip to Boston in June so im sure ill squeeze in a visit to either franklin park, stone or the aquarium...
