I read that the SDZ is building a new home for the Snow Leopards and Amur Leopards by the Pandas and they removed the Visayan Warty Pigs build this exhibit. Does anyone know about it or when it's finishing. I, being the traveler I am, will be going to California this summer for a vacation with my girlfriend and 7 year old son, and he is like me, animal and zoo fanatic, and loves cats, and wants to know when its done.

As far as I know, there is no official date, however when I went last week there was a wall surrounding the construction area stating it would be open Spring 2015,so it should be open when you visit in summer.

They removed the Visayan warty pigs? I bet your son would have liked them. They are such unusual animals!

Where have they put the Visayan Warty Pigs?

I have heard it should be open for Memorial Day which is Monday, May 25th. The warty pigs and the lowland anoa are no longer on exhibit. I'm not sure if they are coming back.

I'm excited to see this exhibit, the zoo has kept the concept drawings undercover so i'm interested to see how the exhibit looks.
