Well, it looks like the poll is now closed; so I would like take this opportunity to congratulate Arizona Docent on his deserved victory!

I'm really happy that his fishing cat shot won, not least because I originally nominated and subsequently voted for it :) I think it's a great shot -- technically as well as artistically -- of one of my favourite animals, and which, as I've said before, mesmerises me each time I look at it!

Thanks to all who voted (for all the photos), and of course to savethelephant (with help from Chlidonias) for organising the poll. I look forward to the next one!

A very worthy winner there, a superb shot, congrats AD.

Its a little surprising how few votes were cast. I think us photographers are very very much in a minority on ZooChat, which I've always found surprising.

Looking forward to the next competition then, and to enjoying more excellent photography.

It is surprising, since you don't have to be a photographer to appreciate a photo. More people need to vote! (Or maybe not, because they might have swung the totals away from my favor :p).

Anyway thanks to all and I believe Sim has my mailing address on file to ship the prize. :D

We have a winner!!! Congrats to ALL contestents because really, every photo was great.

I can't wait to set this up next year!
