Updates from todays visit:
0.0.1 waterbuck born- exhibited in the former bongo enclosure which was also expanded with in the past two years
The black rhino pair were in the same yard- which has not been reported in quite sometime. So perhaps a rhino calf is in Fort worth's future.
Elephant news/updates: Bowie, Bluebonnet's male calf was sired by Samson (ABQ Biopark) though AI! This was not previously announced, but is now on exhibit signage.
Angel (25) is pregnant again after having a miscarriage sometime in late 2012 or early 2013.
-Striped Hyena are now exhibited in the former sloth bear (and even former Sun bear) exhibit, although only one was on show today.
-Supposedly the zoo is still in the planning phases of its 20 year master plan, and has run into roadblocks in terms of feasibility and expansion...
