Question....
Is Chester Zoo value for money?
There is a lot of debate on social media about the increase in prices and how expensive the zoo is. Many visitors are 'disgusted' at how expensive the tickets are, especially now the zoo has introduced 'flexible pricing' for weekends and school holidays.
Compared to other attractions I think the zoo is reasonably priced and when one considers dwell time at the zoo I think it offers amazing value for money. However, the amount of disgruntled visitors posting their views made me wonder..........are the negative comments justified?
I guess its a hard question to answer, I just looked how much it would cost for my and my family (2 adults, 1 6 and a under 3) to go tomorrow, it would be £76 compared with just over £40 for Yorkshire wildlife park. But with Chester Zoo being possibly the only full day visit zoo, would it be better to compare prices with Alton towers for example, which is also a full day out and this would cost £93 with car parking, for us to tomorrow.
Its still a lot of money for a family to spend out, with food costs added into that as well.
Its probably why Chester has very good membership numbers.
Does anyone think Chester will ever introduce split membership options, (peak - Off Peak)?
