There are a few rival streaming services in Australia, and I decided to get a 1mth free trial from one of them (Stan). The data usage is twice as much as Netflix for 75% of the audio visual quality, so I will not be getting a subscription.
Remember the Evil Dead movies? Well it turns out that there is a TV series continuation with the same main actor. I watched just one episode, but it wasn't to my liking.
I am currently watching a series from 2004 onwards called 'The 4400'. It's a drama about 4,400 people who we 'abducted' (by aliens perhaps?) over the last 70 years, and who were all returned at once in 2004. The show follows some of their stories as they try to reintegrate into society with special gifts. It's worth a watch if you like sci fi, drama, and suspense, just don't laugh at the flip phones.
I watched two episodes of Jessica Jones on Netflix and realised that it wasn't for me. Too slow, too brooding.
And finally, remember Xerxes from the 300 movies? He is a Brazilian actor, who I only recently found out, played 'Paulo' on the TV series LOST. That reminded me that the hated 'Nikki and Paulo' episode was the only episode of LOST that I never watched (I fell asleep when it screened a decade ago), so I decided to watch it on Netflix. I enjoyed it because it felt like a standalone episode where I didn't really need to remember the LOST mythology. I do understand why they were the most hated characters though...
