Are there still tree kangaroos at the San Diego Zoo?
They are at the zoo but off display for the construction of African Rocks- I fret they will not return as the Zoo has Buerger's Tree Kangaroos, which are a subspecies of Goodfellow's and those are being phased out. Regardless of the species, they won't be back on exhibit for a while.
Are they not to be exchanged with Europe where Goodfellow's are in an EEP managed breeding program?
In return the SDZ should receive some Matschie's …..!!!!
We are down to only zoos with the species (San Diego and Cleveland, if Cleveland still has them) and if they are managed in Europe, that's great.
I'm not sure if Cleveland has them anymore. I saw in a post a while back saying that the one in Cleveland passed away and a bird moved into its old exhibit. I'm not sure if they've received a new one since then, I haven't seen any updates since it passed away.

Cleveland has a new Mastchie's tree kangaroo on exhibit. They recently announced it on Facebook.
Did they get it from Europe, San Diego, or somewhere else?
