Any weird mixed exhibits?

Fota wp has
Lechwe and European Bison
Lion tailed macaque and prairie dog
Penguins often have the free range kangaroos and pelicans in their exhibit

I saw an old photo, I think it was from the SeaWorld in Florida but I can't remember, of a dolphin show with a bizarre mix of species. There was a bottlenose dolphin, a beluga, I think a spinner dolphin, and a few other species. It was really weird, like some kind of cetacean variety hour. Unfortunately, I can't find the photo right now. Maybe someone else here has seen it? I'm pretty sure it was from the 1980's, if that helps.

I was definitely at a couple of these shows. I don't remember belugas specifically (which doesn't mean it didn't happen) but they were definitely mixing dolphins with pilot whales.

so, not the mix then. Two separate enclosures....

Yes. There is nothing but a moat separating the Jaguars from the other animals. It is supposed to look like one exhibit

The exhibit does exist, and is Milwaukee's main dedicated exhibit for South American species.

Yes, the exhibit exists. No, it's not a mixed species exhibit in regards to the jaguar.

Montgomery Zoo has pygmy hippo, zebra, ostrich, addra gazelle, greater kudu, slender-horned gazelle, bontebok, marabous, crowned cranes, spur-winged goose, and a bachelor bongo all sharing the african hoofstock display. The pygmy hippos also have access to the giraffe and Northern ground hornbill yard (since they are separated from the hoofstock only by a moat.)

For a few years, there were also black footed penguins that had access to both the hoofstock and elephant moats.

I remember seeing prairie dogs and penguins in the same enclosure at Bristol Zoo and a turkey in a waterfowl enclosure at Fuengirola Zoo.

At Artis - Amsterdam Zoo the Western lowland gorillas are kept together with Sykes'monkeys and Meerkats.
Another quite strange combination -discused before here on ZooChat - are the African penguins ( I counted 3 last tome ) together with Californian sealions.

At the Dallas Zoo, there is now a pair of Spur-Winged Goose in there mandrill habitat. I suppose the geese can take care of themselves, though.

Darling Downs Zoo:
Indian Black Buck, Red Deer and Ostrich.
Cotton-Top Tamarin, Bush-Stone Curlew and Banded Lapwing.
Red-Necked Wallaby and Greater Rhea.
Pygmy Marmoset and Noisy Pitta.

African Lion Safari has Llamas or Alpacas in with some of their African species. I always find it jarring when Alpacas/Llamas are mixed in with something outside South/Central American species.
