Ok I'll be doing lists for each of the six generalised taxonomic groups of animals (so those six that most people place animals in; mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates). This includes every animal species we saw or was signed for across the entire zoo and aquarium.

[EDIT] changed classes to generalised taxonomic groups

Blacksmith Plover?

Chester no longer has European Griffon vulture

Great effort though.

Thanks Rob :) as the title says just going with what we either saw or what the signs said. We did notice a lot of signs were outdated.

And there are apparently blacksmith plovers in the Tsavo bird aviary, if the signs are to be believed. Spent hours looking for a Schalow's turaco and didn't see one in there though, so not too sure how valid they are ;)

They have been on-show again for about a month, yeah :)

I will also, for people who are interested, place asterisks next to those animals that we DIDN'T see. Those without are animals that we saw whether they were signed or not.
