Thanks for the update on the lion exhibit, and I suppose that for now to have a pair of elderly lions is fine for the enclosure. We'll just keep our fingers crossed that when the cats die they are not replaced by younger versions.

Agree with Mario. Lions who are that old are probably barely going to move around anyway, and it would be useless to spend millions on a brand-new lion exhibit when the two lions will probably pass on in a few years...
The four Philadelphia Zoo lions are 18 years old, and they move around a lot.
I believe in so many instances, the newer the exhibits are, the more there is that's not right about them - for the animals, and for the visitors.
I don't quite understand why that is.
If there is water in the moat area, that would actually be good for the Philadelphia Zoo lions. They used to go in the water in the moat to play with balls in their old exhibit.
But their new exhibit in Big Cat Falls has no water for them to swim, or even to wade in.
Ive seen it live, and its not a pretty site. Really hoping they build a new one, if they want to house something there. Make it a south african Penguin habitat.
Can you show me the concept art of "The pride of LA" please if not that's fine. also what animals were planed for the African Plains in the old Master Plan?
