African Plains - Northern Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis)

I have heard that there are a couple very old pure Baringos left in the country. I know SDZSP has/had some a few years ago. It's possible the old female from there at Bronx might be pure, but her being old and being from San Diego isn't enough to make that assumption imo. There was one point in time where there was a claim, tbh not sure where it originated, that Bronx had the last entirely pure herd in the country, but that was only a claim that circulated. Bronx's herd has also featured animals they're brought in from other AZA zoos that feature the Reticulated phenotype for probably close to 10 years now. The animal photographed looks to be more of the Reticulated phenotype to me, personally.
