They haven`t said anything on the record.

although it was never confirmed I think it was most likely herpes due to the father having several siblings that died from herpes.

So Elephants in this picture are:
Emmett in the other enclosure at the back
Donna the youngest at the time
Azizah the furthest one away(im guessing as her and another female Kaylee are kept seperate from the main herd)
Kaylee next to Azizah
Euan the second smallest youngster.
