@honeybadger there's also the family of Blue-winged Kookaburras in the Papua and Lory aviaries. I don't think it's a matter of suitability. It's just that Mandai does not prioritize this group of birds. Even back in Jurong Bird Park most of the Kingfishers on display were opportunistic rescues/confiscations.

@Zooish Sorry I was unclear before, I was referring to 2 *species* of kookaburras.

Well that’s a bummer. Didn’t know that Jurong former Kingfishers were not deliberately acquired.

@Leo K. i would say even more so bc unlike the turacos, she rarely shows her full body, her face often obscured by leaves
