Old Africa Trail sign. It must be at least 10-15 years old as several species marked are no longer at the Bronx and others are now on exhibit elsewhere in the park, for instance the Maxwells Duikers are now in the Congo Gorilla Forest.

I agree. It is very outdated. I remember I visited once and saw cheetahs on that sign. I was so excited to see a cheetah but they weren't there. Now Spotted Hyenas live in the former cheetah exhibit.

Nyala, Nubian Ibex, Red River Hog, Slender-Horned Gazelles, Grevy's Zebras, Giraffe, and Maxwell's Duikers remain. Okapis are only found in Congo now and their former exhibit in African Plains is now an African Wild Dog exhibit. The duiker are found in the Giraffe Building and Congo. Ostriches and Marabou Storks are exhibited in African Plains, White-Faced Scops Owls in the Giraffe Building, and White-Crested Hornbills, Gray-Cheeked Hornbills, African Pygmy Geese, and more are exhibited in Congo. There's also a species of goose in Baboon Reserve.

Thanks! It's to bad the blesbok, oryx, Thompson's, and cheetahs are gone, but I'm glad they have wild dogs and hyenas! I like this exhibit because it's underrated, yet big and still has many species (even without the blesbok, oryx, Thompson's, and cheetahs).
