The trees look like banyan, but I could be wrong. It is however a popular timber for zoo designs.
 
I can't see what kind of wood this is, but most of the wood in Western Europe comes from Scandinavia/Russia/Canada. Only a small percentage of the used timber is tropical and that timber is used for doors, window frames and furniture.
 
Quite a lot of climbing opporunities! Looks like one of the best chimp exhibit's I've ever seen. Though not the most natural :)
