Building the new chimp climbing frame

Been to the zoo today and saw the new climbing frames, it looks good I have to say.
There's even a little outdoor shelter built in case it rains.
Maybe the enclosure could do with a few bushes now but otherwise it's fine.
With all the work thats happened here it makes me think that the chimps wont be moving anytime soon......

tbh with the chimps, if they planted bushes in there, they would have no bushes by the end of the week! unless they do lots of planting or certain plants they won't eat/chew

Thats very true, the only other thing they could do would be to surround the bushes/ trees with something the chimps can't get thru until the plants are more mature.

I would think the same thing. Regarding planting it, they could put hotwire fences round planted areas until they have become established- but I don't imagine they will plant stuff...:(

Its a pity if these Chimps have to continue in here as a female-only group indefinately- very unnatural for them socially and visually uninteresting too without any males- I don't know any other larger zoo like this that keeps Chimps in this sort of grouping.

Will they be changing the fencing then?
