Inside the enormous tropical house.

Notable species include:

Aardvark
Asian Short-clawed Otter
Capybara
Caribbean Manatee
Rodrigues Fruit Bat
African Darter
Blue-throated Piping-Guan
Victoria Crowned Pigeon
Broad-fronted Caiman

There are many more birds and a few reptiles that escape my memory for the moment!
Really best? But for who? Everyone has its own opinion, what I have seen in the gallery, Omaha's rain forest is really fantastic, but a lot of large animals do not have access to the outdoor exhibits and their indoor exhibts are often too small. In Arnhem, with the exception of capybaras, aardavks and manatees, there are no large animals in Burger's Bush. To compare it with Lied Jungle, I find Arnhem's rainforest better (only my opinion,I know Burger's Bush in person).
It does not contain almost any large animals (the exhibits in Lied do not provide enough space for some animals) and by the entry you really feel to enter the rainforest (might be the same feeling in Omaha).
But I have to support Europe (irony). :D. Enjoy your visit ANyhuis, you will be excited by your visit in Arnhem.

Burger's definitely feels more like a "real" rainforest, as it is not littered with obviously-fake trees and rock walls that are used in Lied Jungle to contain the larger animals. That said, I would guess the public prefers Lied Jungle because there are so many big/interesting animals on exhibit, even if in small and obviously-contained spaces. But what Burger's Zoo is attempting in the Bush is far more ambitious and innovative.

I agree that the Lied Jungle isn't as great as this appears. It is full of large animals like tapirs and hippos and primates, but I would prefer more bird species. Overall the Lied Jungle is an amazing exhibit, but everytime I see it, I become less impressed. I hope you enjoy your trip ANyhuis, and am looking forward to your comparison of the two exhibits.
