You must work there or at least know the collection well; I can't identify them as Lessers from this view, though on an enlarged picture they looked like it if that makes sense. I don't think your average Zoochatter realises what a superbly comprehensive waterfowl collection this is; anywhere that can be bothered to keep Chinese Spotbills gets my vote.

It is wonderful - one of the finest taxonomic animal collections of any type in the UK (or indeed Europe). In fact, I really must get back there. It's been a few months and it's only an hour away.
(if only the labelling could keep up with the birds though )
Unfortunately the UK herds seem to have been dwindling of late, certainly those at Howletts, Chester and Whipsnade (possibly extinct there). The baton seems to have passed to the Safari Parks for keeping this species with West Midlands now having the only sizeable herd I think.
