I wonder if it's too agressive to use in the shows? It was making quite a racket last week the bird show presenter had to resort to shouting at it!

This cockatoo used to hang out at the back of the arena, but presumably their were problems with being amongst the public.

This is no better than parrots still to be seen in cages in Pet shops and Garden centres. The screming is to attract attention or from boredom. It should be in a large flight aviary, preferably with a partner.

maybe it will be moved into more spacious accomodation in the avian academy once animal adventure is finished.

Parrots Naturally sceam, if in cages or not you should here them in the wild. This is a moloucan cockatoo and he is usually out around the seating area of the parrot show. When shows are about to happen he goes in his cage so he leaves the audience alone. But yes it would be nice to see him an a flight.

This gawges moloucan cockatoo is Nelso.( who is actualy female.) she loves human company and is often let out in the arena. she is very found of the public and sometimes children often tried to touch and poke her soo there was a risk of her biting a childs finger

I have heard them in the wild, huge flocks of them, and yes they do scream too. But its very different from a single cockatoo in a cage which usually screams from boredom or to attract attention, not because its flying freely in a flock with thousands of companions.

I'm sure this is a much loved 'pet' at Longleat but then they are keeping it very artificially like many other pet owners who keep single parrots. I would still rather see it with its own kind..

nelson has had a mate on several occasions but sher hasnt realy takern to him. soo they only put them with each other on sertian yimes of the year
