Cincinnati Zoo - Giant Anteater

July 2008.
@BlackRhino: So weight is a criterion that decides whether an animal requires an outdoor enclosure or not? Aha... So what is the minimal weight to get an outdoor enclosure, as according to you, pygmy hippos (weight up to 500 pounds) don't need one? Consequently, for example, all big cats and great apes don't need outdoor exhibits, as most of them weigh less than a pygmy hippo and especially a river hippo...

For the record: an average giant anteater weighs about 40-90 pounds, rarely more.
ADW: Myrmecophaga tridactyla: Information

The signage outside this building in November said "Under Construction for Exciting New Animals" or something to that effect. I wonder what it could be?

It has been saying that since June. I know the giant anteater is supposed to come back to the zoo (the signage when he left stated he was visiting another zoo for summer) and so I wonder if his exhibit and friends in there are getting an upgrade.
