The vulture was not on the island, no. When I saw it, it was perched atop one of the termite mounds near the savanna viewing area that is closest to the African wild dogs.
And yeah, I don't know exactly what time they went on exhibit, but I went around at around 12:45, and they weren't out yet. They were, however, out when I was on my way out at around 5:00.

I just passed it and both the pelicans and the Vulture wwee on the island. It's obvious that's where they place their food, but it's nice to know they can move around it they wanted to.
