Here's two better pictures that shows the size of the wild dog when in the exhibit. You can see Imara in the back for the first picture, and then to the left in the second.
The vulture was not on the island, no. When I saw it, it was perched atop one of the termite mounds near the savanna viewing area that is closest to the African wild dogs.
And yeah, I don't know exactly what time they went on exhibit, but I went around at around 12:45, and they weren't out yet. They were, however, out when I was on my way out at around 5:00.
