There are certainly many places to view the sun bears here, as the wall of glass is huge. Also, the enclosure appears to be very naturalistic, and are the bears rotated on exhibit?
Yes, they are rotated. 3 of the bears are related (grandmother, mother, son), plus a fourth unrelated male. I believe the mother is paired with the unrelated male for breeding.
Interestingly the enclosure was retrofitted from an old komodo dragon enclosure!
I did There wasn't that much there to be honest but it was still cool. Also, the zoo was great but loads of it is really out of date. This exhibit was ok, but it was quite small and loads of the space seemed to be taken up by hotwired plants.
I've heard their old exhibit was worse, where was it?

Yeah their old exhibit was a small pit with no live plants at all. That section of the zoo has been closed, awaiting redevelopment. It was only one-third the size of the present one. So it really is a vast improvement.
Not much of the plants are hot wired actually, only the patch that hides the den entry from view, towards the back end. The entire central space is free from hotwire.
I see, I saw the patch you're on about and I thought the rest of it was too. They have been kind to it! Although I went to Taronga today and their sun bears haven't killed many of the plants in their exhibit either.
