@Onychorhynchus coronatus According to CITES, 8 addax antelopes were brought to Brazil during the 70's and 80's. Four of them came from the Czech republic, one from the Netherlands and three from Portugal. I have seen two individuals in Brasilia, and one in São Paulo. I don't think any addax breed has been registred in the country, so these might be some of the originals...

I would tend to think that these imported animals that you've mentioned must have bred and that these are the offspring because I don't think addax live as long as that (not 100 % sure but I don't think their lifespan would be over 30 years even in captivity).
@Onychorhynchus coronatus Yes, you're probably right. antelopes don't usually live more than 30 years, so, even if it was a long time ago, they must have bred...
@Onychorhynchus coronatus Yeah, maybe... There are no more registers of addax imports in CITES, but maybe it just wasn't reported. The ones in Brasilia have been there for a while though. Don't know much about this one in SP...
