@evilmonkey239 I think that the python has been gone from there for several years now. It was a famous design element when the building first opened in the 1980s because people would look up and be surprised to see a python literally in their faces.
@Gilgamesh According to an interview at Zoophoria with former curator Jim Doherty, they were only considered very briefly:
“We had orangutans in the original plan but didn’t have enough space for an outdoor habitat,” he remembered. “I didn’t want to just have them in the building so I said orangutans are out. I wanted them outside with sunlight and live vegetation.”
