@honeybadger Same as well. Only managed to spot it once. Wasn't able to spot it after that.
It was perching on the tree beside the feeding tray at the feeding area (the one where they usually closed it off during the feeding session, the tree on the left), before flying off to the bottom of the aviary.
@Z4ccity_qxv & @Leo K. Thanks for these tips! I'll try coming earlier to spot it. I've frequented the feeding deck area so many times but has no luck with this bird. Is it a single specimen?
Surprisingly, I had more luck in spotting the Great Blue Turacos. Taking good photos of them is another matter though.
Are kingfishers not really suitable for mixed aviaries (i.e. preying on small birds)? I'm quite surprised that apart from this one specimen and the 2 kookaburras, there aren't any other kingfishers in the park.
