Boras Zoo Savanna

Boras Zoo has an wonderfoul Savnanna. Its an mixed exbith , and here you found African Elephants, Giraffes , Zebras , Buffalos, Ostrich, Bontebok, Eland and Guina Fowls. In another savanna in Boras Djurpark you found Cheetahs and White Rhinos in a mixed exbith.

Do you know if the rhinos have ever been mixed with the elephants? Were there ever hippos mixed with either?

Only White Rhino and Elephants, no hippos.

Yes, on this Savanna

But now they are separated. Was there a problem, do you know?

I don´t think so. They tried to mixed Cheetha and Rhino, and it worked out well. You can ask them on their email if you have more cuestions.

I saw elephants mixed with rhinos up until the middle of the 1970s (haven´t visited the zoo since then), but I am willing to guess that this practise went on for much longer than that. Perhaps up until the rhino/cheetha savanna mix was created and that mix cannot be that old, I suspect.

NOW I AM BECOMING CURIOUS ! I will e-mail the zoo and ask about this. I´ll get back to this thread if I get an answer.

I see in the old map that was posted, the cheetah is separated and the rhino is shown with the elephants. But perhaps that was artistic license
