Condor Ridge - Lowland Paca Exhibit

July 28th, 2011.
Was there really no appropriate (and geographicaly better fitting) place left in the whole Wild Animal Park - oops, sorry, San Diego Safari Park?

Yes, there really isn't a geographically appropriate place for them in the entire park, especially when they have no South American exhibits left. Although there were better suited places than this.

The "International Base Camp" area is the one catch all area (this is where the other paca exhibit is if I'm not mistaken).

@OtterLord: Well, I don't want insist really. You are much closer (also geografically) to that institution than I am. Also, it's already a couple of years, since I have visited SDWAP for the last time (2007).

As for the pacas, I was thinking for the Animal Care Center, that had or even still has South American Species like Tamandua. Also some smaller Cages/Aviary like exhibits on the left after passing the entrance. I don't know what is happened to the aviary, adjected to the Hidden Jungle, that at least once had South American birds. But if it still exist, couldn't the pacas (as ground dwellers) not join the birds? Or what about a NEW exhibit close to Hidden Jungle (many birds and the seasonal butterflies in there are from Latinamerica, aren't they?).
Would some of that ideas be an option?

Yes, all your options would have been worthy ideas better than this. There are probably off exhibit enclosures that they could have kept them in too, seeing as they already have one exhibit at the front.

Good news Condor Ridge fans. This exhibit now houses a species from the southwest with a conservation message, an ocelot.
