I went once just after it opened, wasn't that impressed. Then they got rid of half their stock and put the admission price up by £3.00. I am sure the stock will be sent to other collections, however when I went I counted 6 staff who, are now out of work. This is what happens when establishments are opened on a shoestring budget.
Because a zoo could have both; plus dwarf mongoose, striped mongoose, marsh mongoose, yellow mongoose, kusimanse etc - it could be a fascinating display, linked to an explanation of different environments, diets and behaviours.

Sorry - I was only joking. Of course I'd prefer to see fanaloka (and marsh mongoose and slender mongoose and others), rather than another blimmin' meerkat display.

I think you’re really being much too kind about this photograph, David, but it was the best I could do under very difficult circumstances (and this involved waiting patiently for two hours until the fanaloka came out to grab a mouse).
