Former deer exhibit

Looking at the heavy vegetation and the sloping hillsides, my first suggestion for this space would be either Chinese goral (Naemorhedus griseus) or Himalayan tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus) mixed with Red panda (Ailurus sp.), I bring them up because they are more easy to source. Another thought I had was Nilgiri tahr (Nilgiritragus hylocrius) if the private collector in Brewster County, Texas was willing to send out some animals from his herd. Even Takin (Budorcas sp.) could work if they had secure/durable enough fencing. A man can dream/brainstorm...

This enclosure has a lot of potential to be revamped for a new species. I sometimes find myself going to this exhibit for the memories and the thought of maybe one day the zoo paying attention to the enclosure and adding a new species to it like Tapir as either tapir or a species of Yak, cattle, deer could inhabit it. I love the idea of Red pandas coming to the zoo but it's highly unlikely since the zoo luckily is more focused on rehabilitating animals. Recently though the zoo seems to be low on funds as they have cut a few of their enclosures in half and from what I know the bigger the enclosure the larger the amount of tax you pay. I think the zoo should start a fundraiser to increase its funds to ensure the zoo's safety to keep protecting its existing and new species.
