Hippo grazing in the paddock beside Half-Mile Lake, which in the past has housed Cape Buffalo (who consequently swam the length of the lake and ended up grazing on Lord Bath's lawn) and a dug-out island for Chimps. Taken June 2008.
i dnt think they are aloud to breed hippos at longleat any more. 1. is because spot and sonia are to old.2. a bull hippo and hipoo cows with calves could be dangerouse to the boats and sealions and when the keepers need to cross to gorilla island. but i think you are right about the wmsp hippos i hav a feeling they will come to longleat in the near future
