@Chlidonias: you mentioned that you watched this hog badger for an hour, and I'm curious as to where you were in proximity to the animal. Were you in a hide of some sort or was this photo taken from fairly far away? Wasn't it cold?
I was on a road, and then there was a river below, and then there was the far bank which rose up into the forest. The badger was probably about thirty or forty metres away (I'm not good at estimating distances), at first on a rock platform a few metres from the water edge but as it foraged it moved around and up and along the whole bank. A lot of shots were unusable, and in lots it was behind vegetation or looking the wrong way etc etc. I was just standing on the roadside, not hidden, it just plain didn't care (I guess it knew there was a river in between us.....or maybe it couldn't see or smell me so didn't even know I was there). And yes it was cold!
The first hog badger I saw (the one above was the second) was much closer, but I couldn't get any good photos due to its position. That one was seen the day before this one in a different part of the reserve.

this photo I just uploaded might give an idea of the distance (taken with a 75mm lens); the other photos were taken with a 300mm lens and then cropped. If it had been taken with a standard 35mm it would have been even further away!! http://www.zoochat.com/733/hog-badger-arctonyx-collaris-long-range-342744/

And are you sure it Arctonyx collaris (albogularis???)???
I've never seen a "teledu" in alive in nature. But I've seen many times a European badger (Meles meles) and Asian badger (Meles leucurus). On that photo I would say that this is a normal Asian badger - Meles leucurus (shadowy form it's typical for a Far East).

Yes. Its my error. Teledu is Myadus... I look at the nose too. I will look more in taxonomy of badgers because Arctonyx very similar with Meles. Lot of thanks.
