Why are these animals even in the same exhibit? They do not even live in the same habitat or countries. Is this is one of those general use antelope where surplus animals get thrown together?

Zoos in general don't really have the luxury of caring about little details like that. Africa is Africa, unfortunately to most folks and when you are trying to maintain populations of varied species of antelope, sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Not the worst mix I've seen though. How about bontebok, Grant's zebra, and scimitar-horned oryx!

gerenuk- Oh yeah, I forgot about it being a dominant behavior, as I read that the dog is the dominant one in the relationship with the cat, as well as an unfortunate incident that has scarred my dog for life.:D
DavidBrown and Ituri- What about Grant's Zebra, Scimitar-Horned Oryx, and Caribbean Flamingoes?;)

I tried to change the title yesterday, but it wouldn't let me. I have now changed it so it's not so severe. I understand there are other mating photos on this website so I did not think it be that much of an issue. However, I know there are younger members here, and even though it's natural and they could see it at their zoo, I just wanted to give a warning.
