What are the animal's needs, then? Last time I looked, Caracals are obligate cliff dwellers.

Exactly, by needs I mean a scrubland biome, and tall rocks. The ceiling goes about 4 or so more feet up and to the left.

My bad, I meant to type "Caracals are not obligate cliff dwellers".

They prefer open areas like savanna and more arid desert-like habitats. Apart from the log, the photo above looks more like a moonscape than a scrubland biome.

Ah, then maybe it isn't an at all good exhibit. Here's a quote from Wikipedia though.

"Its chief habitat is dry steppes and semideserts, but it also inhabits woodlands, savannah, and scrub forest. They generally prefer open country, so long as there is sufficient cover, in the form of bushes and rocks, from which to ambush prey."
