Why do you think Kena will not breed again? She has had several babies in Barcelona. I don't quite understand the situation with her now at Blackpool- is she contracepted to prevent further breeding- perhaps because she won't raise her babies? Or just 'not breeding'?
She is Bukavu's least favourite female. Njema had more chance, the plan is now to try and get Njema and Kena pregnant but there hasn't been any luck/success yet.
And on that note, Meisie the only Gorilla born will be two on Monday.
I thought that was the plan ever since they came to Blackpool, or were they on contraceptives to start with ? (and if so, why?). Not sure why they have breeding problems with either of these two- I would have thought they should both have had babies by now- like Miliki.
