What I had not realised before is that essentially these will still be the existing enclosures, though no doubt landscaped and having different backdrops etc. I wonder if the meshed exTiger enclosure will remain much the same as it was, or different.

Again, going back to promo fluff, the zoo states that the construction uses a lot of recycled building material. Of note, they've salvaged one of the decommissioned train carriages from Whipsnade which will appear in one of the enclosures. I never knew lions could drive trains but, hey, what do I know!
They also state that the new exhibit continues the policy of recycling old buildings (e.g the Sobells). This possibly sets a precedent for future development of the Snowdon, Mappins and (please God!) the interior of the Casson.
