@SivatheriumGuy I see. Unfortunate to see that the species will probably disappear from Europe, specially since it so abundant in Brazilian zoos, but I can see the reasons for no more individuals to be obtained.
Also, sorry for being the correction guy, but the species no longer is a part of the genus Mazama. Gray brocket deers are now listed as their own genus, Subulo.
@Velas true! It's more of a bad habit of mine than a taxonomical mistake; I've called them "mazama gris" in Spanish as the common name for the longest time. I have to rewire my brain in that aspect
