A fantastic addition to the UK zoo scene. Pleased to see another collection going into this species, pure subspecies is even better! :)

Great shot by the way, thanks for this and the report in-thread earlier Tim. Sounds like it's coming along nicely. :)

Great photo Tim! Do you have a complete species list on view?

I don’t claim what follows is an exhaustive list of all the species currently on exhibit but these are the ones I saw on 5th April 2014:-

• New Guinea short-beaked echidna
• aardwolf
• Palawan binturong
• fossa
• fanaluka
• ring-tailed mongoose
• narrow-striped mongoose
• jaguarondi
• rusty-spotted cat
• clouded leopard
• snow leopard
• Malayan tiger
• fishing cat
• sun bear
• bush dog
• smooth-coated otter
• yellow-throated marten
• red ruffed lemur
• yellow-cheeked gibbon

There are labels up for bear cuscus, spotted cuscus and brown dorcopsis but I was informed that they are not yet on exhibit. (Owston’s palm civet were also labelled but not seen.)

I'll certainly be returning as soon as I know that the are tarsiers on view.

Thanks for this list and your report on the news thread - it's very helpful to get such a prompt update. I'm not sure when I'll be able to make the drive down but I look forward to visiting, especially if the list keeps growing with interesting rarities. :)
